Speldrop is a district of the city of Rees in the Kleve district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Speldrop was an independent community in what was then Rees County .
geography
Speldrop is located northwest of the Rees core city. Consisting of a small peasantry emerged district is populated agricultural scattered settlements and sparsely. The former municipality of Speldrop had an area of 2.0 km².
history
Since the 19th century Speldrop formed a rural community in the mayorry Rees-Land (since 1928 Amt Rees Land ) in the Rees district in the Düsseldorf administrative district . On July 1, 1969, Speldrop was incorporated into the city of Rees by the Rees District Reorganization Act .
