Sperm penetration test

The (sperm) penetration test or (sperm) invasion test is used to clarify sterility . This checks whether the sperm are able to overcome the obstacles on the way to fertilization of the egg .

According to this definition, the post-coital test (PCT) and the sperm cervical mucus penetration test (SCMPT) ( Kremer test ) can be used as in vitro examinations to clarify the causes of an unfulfilled desire to have children (an examination of the functional sperm quality).
