Spermwhale Ridge (English for Pottwalgrat ) is a scharfgratiger and about 800 m high ridge at the Oskar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flanks the south side of the Flask Glacier to the west of the Bulkington Pass .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1987 based on the naming of other objects in the area, which are named after characters from Herman Melville's novel Moby-Dick , published in 1851 .
