The mirror house Mofacham ( Persian آئینه‌خانه مفخم Ayene chane mofacham ) in Bodschnurd in the north-western Iranian province of North Khorasan on the border with Turkmenistan served as the official residence of the governor Mofacham. It dates from the Qajar era . Bodschnurd, a place on Tehran's Mashhad Road on the slopes of the Kuh-e-Aladag Mountains , is the capital of the province. The facility is located in the north of Shariati-Allee.

The building of Sardar Mofacham , a high official of the late Qajar period, completed in the mid-1870s , is famous for its many mirrors used for interior decoration and its rich brick ornamentation. The complex now houses the Bodschnurd Folklore Museum (Mofacham Museum).

National monument

On the 18th Azar 1354 according to the Iranian calendar (corresponds to December 9th 1975) the mirror house with the number 1167 was added to the list of National Monuments of Iran .
