Spike Island is a small uninhabited island in Australia and is located in Spike Bay of the same name to the west of Clarke Island .

The island is about six hectares and belongs to the Tasmanian Furneaux group in the eastern Bass Strait .

Little penguins , black- billed gulls , herring head gulls and soot-oystercatchers are native to the islands .
