Spirit DSP (spelling "SPIRIT DSP") is a software company based in Moscow, Russia, privately owned by Andrei Sviridenko. It sells usage licenses and technical support for its switching software products that recode voice and video data in the background on their way through the communication networks. history

The company was founded in 1992 by Andrei Sviridenko and a former fellow student under the name Spirit, in order to further develop and market medical diagnostic software based on artificial intelligence that was developed in-house during the study period . Through a cooperation with the Japanese electronics company NEC , the business area changed to communication and navigation and Sviridenko paid off his co-owner. Since 1996 the business has focused on software products for IP communication in the area of ​​embedded systems. The most important competitor company was Global IP Solutions until it was bought by Google Inc. and the most important software products were published as free software . In the first half of 2012, Spirit DSP grew by 80%.
