Valais Hospital

The Wallis Hospital (French: Hôpital du Valais ) is a public-law association of several health facilities in the Swiss canton of Valais .

It was created in 2004 under the name Health Network Wallis (GNW), French Réseau Santé Valais (RSV), as an amalgamation of ten institutions, received its current name in 2010 and is now the largest employer in the canton with almost 5,200 employees. Annual sales are over half a billion Swiss francs (currently 656 million).

structure

The Valais hospital consists of two hospital centers and a central hospital institute (ZIS):

  • The hospital center of the French-speaking Valais (CHVR for Center Hospitalier du Valais Romand) includes:
    • the hospitals Martinach ( Martigny ), Sitten (Sion) and Sierre (Sierre)
    • the Valais Center for Pneumology in Montana (CVP for Center Valaisan de Pneumologie)
    • the Saint-Amé clinics in Saint-Maurice and Sainte-Claire in Sierre
    • the psychiatric institutions of the central and lower Valais (IPVR for Institutions psychiatriques du Valais Romand), the de at Hôpital Malévoz in Monthey are integrated
  • The Spitalzentrum Oberwallis (SZO) includes (including psychiatry PZO):
  • The ZIS provides interdisciplinary services for all areas and locations of the Valais Hospital, in particular for the areas of laboratory medicine, hospital pharmacy, medical consultation hours, epidemiology and IT.

The two hospital centers mainly offer acute somatic, palliative care, rehabilitation, psychiatry and waiting beds. Highly specialized services are concentrated in Sion Hospital, where the group's head office is located.
