Ellie is unhappy about the move and would like to be back with her old friends in her former school in Cologne. She hardly makes friends at the new school, and her classmates don't like her way of speaking and her clothes. One day she happens to meet Colin Jeremiah Blackburn, a young man of 20 years. Colin is a karate athlete, appears arrogant and aloof, surrounded by a dark, mysterious aura and Ellie feels drawn to him.

Strange things happen and Ellie finds out that Colin is a Cambion , that is, a person who was born from a connection between a woman and a demon, that Colin's mother Tessa is a night mare who has usurped the child of a human mother .
