Sports badge of the state of Schleswig-Holstein
The sports badge of the state of Schleswig-Holstein is the highest award for sport in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein . It was donated in 1961 by the then Prime Minister Kai-Uwe von Hassel .
purpose
The plaque should be awarded for excellent performance in the areas of physical exercise or physical education as an active athlete or for at least ten years of voluntary work in associations and clubs.
Award criteria
The Schleswig-Holstein state sports badge is to be awarded to five people per year. The Minister of Education and the State Sports Association of Schleswig-Holstein can nominate persons for the award for members of its associations and clubs by March 31 of each year.
The prerequisite is that the nominee has his permanent residence in Schleswig-Holstein or, if he lives in another federal state, has performed the services to be honored in Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, the activity for which the nominee is to be honored may not be carried out professionally and he should be worthy of a state honor according to his general behavior.
Award
The award is made by the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein, and a certificate is issued for the award.
