The Landessportverband Schleswig-Holstein e. V. (LSV) is the umbrella organization of sports clubs and associations in Germany's northernmost state, Schleswig-Holstein . It was founded on January 25, 1947 and currently has 2,537 associations with a total of 771,659 members (as of 2019). The headquarters of LSV Schleswig-Holstein is in Kiel . Together with the sports associations of the other 15 federal states , the LSV Schleswig-Holstein is a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

The state sports association is an association of sports clubs as well as district sports associations, state and sports associations, extraordinary members, members with special tasks and the corresponding members in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Sports youth

The Sportjugend Schleswig-Holstein is the youth organization of the Landessportverband Schleswig-Holstein eV It organizes its work on its own responsibility. It is a recognized provider of free youth welfare according to the Child and Youth Welfare Act. Its members are the youth organizations of the district sports and state associations. In total, around 360,000 young people up to the age of 27 in the more than 2,600 sports clubs in the state make up Schleswig-Holstein's youth sports.

Sport- und Event-Marketing Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (SEMSH) is the marketing company of the State Sports Association Schleswig-Holstein (LSV) and also looks after the football, volleyball and handball associations. The SEMSH thus forms the interface between regional and national business enterprises and the organized range of offers in competitive and popular sports.
