The Schleswig-Holstein Chess Association (SVSH) is the state association of chess clubs in Schleswig-Holstein . The association based in Kiel was founded in 1946.
Chess federation
The chess federation, which is led by a presidium under the direction of Ullrich Krause, organizes the individual and team championships at the state level.
There are four districts under the Chess Federation:
- District West (districts Pinneberg , Steinburg and Dithmarschen )
- District North (districts of North Friesland , Schleswig-Flensburg , Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Flensburg )
- District of Kiel ( district of Plön , Kiel and Neumünster )
- District East (merger of the former districts Lübeck and Süd) ( District Ostholstein , Lübeck , Segeberg , Stormarn and Duchy of Lauenburg )
Chess youth
In addition to the Chess Association, the Schachjugend Schleswig-Holstein (SJSH) organizes youth chess in Schleswig-Holstein. Here the team leader organizes the national league and the association leagues. The individual game leader primarily organizes the individual national youth championship (LJEM) in Neumünster.
