The Table Tennis Association Schleswig-Holstein (TTVSH) is the amalgamation of table tennis clubs in Schleswig-Holstein . It is the seventh largest regional association in the DTTB . The office is located in Kiel . Hans-Jürgen Gärtner has been president since 1996.

The TTVSH comprises four districts:

  • District 1: North District, North Friesland
  • District 2: Kiel, Plön, Rendsburg-Eckernförde, Neumünster
  • District 3: Dithmarschen, Pinneberg, Steinburg
  • District 4: Duchy of Lauenburg, Lübeck, Ostholstein, Segeberg, Stormarn

Currently (December 31, 2016) the TTVSH has 382 associations and around 17,000 members.

history

Before the Second World War , Schleswig-Holstein was part of the Gau Nordmark , which in turn belonged to the table tennis specialist group / specialist office for tennis in the German Reich Association for physical exercise .

In October 1947, the district representatives of Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel founded the table tennis student body in the state sports association , around 50 table tennis clubs belonged to the student body. On July 31, 1947, the statutes were adopted.

In 1950 the student council was renamed to the Schleswig-Holstein Table Tennis Association . Meanwhile 150 clubs belonged to the association. A part-time office was set up in Neumünster.

In 1967 the office moved to the House of Sports in Kiel and was now operated full-time. The association now comprised 254 associations with around 13,000 members.

  • 1966–1984: Hans-Jürgen Haase (Kiel-Schilksee) (born October 1, 1921)
  • 1984–1996: Jann Boie Bahrenfuss (* December 1937; † November 29, 2007) (Kiel)
  • since 1996: Hans-Jürgen Gärtner (Preetz) ( born November 14, 1944 )
