Sports revolver
A sports revolver is a sports weapon in the form of a revolver , which is specially adapted for sport shooting . A sports revolver differs from other revolvers, for example, in its different sights (extensive adjustment options, extended sight line, higher sight structure, etc.), a trigger weight that can be modified over a wide range (well below that of a utility revolver) or anatomically shaped handle shells with adjustment options. They can be adapted utility revolvers or weapons specially designed as sports revolvers. As a sporting weapon, revolvers are uncommon today and sport pistols are used instead , since with these there is no need to grip around with the supporting hand to cock the cock; pistols are used almost exclusively in the power range. Different shooting associations now have their own revolver disciplines.

The German Shooting Federation has various disciplines in which a sports revolver can be used for shooting. The calibers .22 lfb as well as .38 Special , .357 MAG and .44 MAG are used (among others in the discipline “ large-bore pistol / large-bore revolver ”).
