Spotless Group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spotless Group was taken over by the German Henkel Group in 2014 for 940 million euros in cash (including debt). British financial investor BC Partners has been the previous owner since 2010 . The former French consumer goods group mainly produced and sold washing aids such as washing and optical cleaning cloths, stain removers and textile care products, textile dyes, household cleaners and household insecticides . The group was created in 2005 through a leveraged buy-out by AXA Private Equity from the household care products manufacturer Eau Ecarlate and has grown through various takeovers in Europe (Guaber, Punch, Dylon, Catch). The group's headquarters were in Neuilly-sur-Seine , a suburb of Paris. Most recently, in 2013, the company achieved sales of 280 million euros with around 400 employees and was represented in eight countries.

The best-known brands in German-speaking countries include Vim (abrasive, no longer sold in Europe today), K2r (stain remover) and Globol (insecticides and repellents).
