The residential areas of the Swedish-speaking Finns are concentrated in the coastal regions and Åland.

The Åland Islands, an autonomous region, are the part of Finland where the Swedish-speaking Finland-Swedes make up the largest proportion of the population. Around 25,000 people, that is 90% of the population, speak Swedish as their mother tongue.
