Blasting call

The blasting call is a utterance made by red deer . During the rut it is the battle cry of a top dog . It consists of three to four hoarse sounds - followed by a battle cry - for the purpose of driving away the rival.

With the female roe deer, there is an explosive beep or sound when they are driven from the buck. The sound signals the greatest distress. This attracts the territorial goat.

Vocalizations are in the rut and the sheet time by hunters as a mating call during Decoy used.
