Searching for traces in ruins

Searching for traces in ruins was a ten-part documentary series that was produced by various TV production companies between 2007 and 2012 on behalf of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and was first broadcast on MDR television . The broadcaster provided editorial support from Martin Hübner , Katja Wildermuth and Heribert Schneiders .

The concept of the series was to retrospectively shed light on well-known large companies in the GDR economy and document their history. The dramaturgical means used were interviews with former employees, contemporary witnesses, as well as original image and film documents (e.g. product advertising films, reports on GDR television, private image recordings) and the original locations were also visited.
