ZEKIWA (an acronym of Ze itzer Ki Direction wa genetics industry ) is a manufacturer of children's and doll carriage in Döschwitz , Burgenlandkreis .

The VEB ZEKIWA went in 1946 from 1846 by Stellmacher Ernst Albert Naether in Zeitz based company EA Naether forth. Naether made a decisive contribution to the fact that prams soon became an everyday object.

At the time of the GDR produced the factory for the entire RGW -space, but also for West German companies such as Neckermann , and making it the largest stroller factory in Europe. At her wedding, she produced 450,000 prams and 160,000 dolls' prams annually with 2200 employees.

Most of the production was relocated abroad, the company headquarters from Zeitz to nearby Döschwitz. Travel cots, playpens, high chairs, baby walkers and child car seats are also manufactured.

1988 a 24-minute episode of the series was in January and Tini traveling the East German children's television in ZEKIWA factory rotated.
