St-Arbogast (Batzendorf)

Saint-Arbogast is a Roman Catholic parish church in the French commune of Batzendorf in the Bas-Rhin department .

history

A chronogram above the portal of the church consecrated to Saint Bishop Arbogast of Strasbourg indicates the year 1781, in the tower the year 1782 is mentioned. The construction is attributed to Nicolas Alexandre Salins de Montfort , the architect of the Bishop of Strasbourg .

Marie-Louis-Joseph Sorg created the paintings on the altar panels in 1833.
