The St. Elisabeth Hospital is a basic and standard care hospital with 70 planned beds in the Kurl district of Dortmund . The hospital has had a purely geriatric focus since 2005. The supporting company is the St. Johannes Society, which also operates the St. Johannes Hospital Dortmund , the Marien Hospital Dortmund-Hombruch and the St. Marien Hospital Hamm .
history
The hospital was founded in 1902 on the initiative of the Catholic parish in Kurl. The house ran the internal medicine, surgery and obstetrics departments and had 200 beds at weddings. In the 1990s, the decision was made to change the focus. With the St Elisabeth geriatric care facility, an extension was created that matched the newly chosen focus on geriatrics. Since 2005, the hospital has had 70 inpatient beds and a geriatric day clinic with 15 places.
