history

The St. Vitus Chapel was first mentioned in a document in 1506 and was then not used religiously by the Reformation until 1890. Family celebrations took place in her. After the agricultural estate Wernburg with the land and the inventory had been transferred to public ownership via the land reform , the chapel belonging to the estate was also transferred to public ownership. Heimatfreunde began to renovate the church as early as 1973, and in 1978 this work was already completed.

In 2004, however, the interior renovation that was true to the monument began. The church is now officially available to the population for church and private family gatherings.
