St. Anna Church (Frohndorf)
The Protestant St. Anna Church is located in the Frohndorf district of the town of Sömmerda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish of Roßleben in the parish of Eisleben-Sömmerda of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
The predecessor church of St. Anna was first mentioned in a document in 1273. The present church was given its present form in 1721. The simple hall church with a polygonal east end and low west tower was given a pointed spire in 1861 .
Inside there are three-sided galleries , a cove ceiling with a stucco frame . The pulpit altar from 1774 is surrounded by sculptures of Moses and Christ as Salvator Mundi and integrated into a pair of columns.
There is also the burial place of the Hans von Werthern family , ancestor of the still living line of the von Werthern family, in St. Anna.
