The St. Anne's Church is the Protestant church in the Burkhardtroda district of the Gerstungen community in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

history

The church was built in 1787 on a bend in the street in the center of the village. The clearly structured half-timbered building stands on a stone base. All windows have a flat arch with a keystone, the doors and the mansard roof also have late baroque features. The tower protrudes only a few meters above the church roof, and its slate-covered octagonal helmet is modeled in a lively shape.

The inscription on the small bell of the church reads "anno dm mdv (in the year of the Lord 1505) anna his ich, wohrhaus good, Burkhardtroda let me" ( Anna, my name is Anna, I keep the house good, Burkhardtroda I ring ).

In 1957 the church received a new interior design, and a parish room was separated from the nave. In 2008 the church tower and part of the outer facade were renovated.
