St. Boniface (London)
The Church of St. Boniface (English St Boniface ) in the London borough of Whitechapel is one of the two churches of the German-speaking Roman Catholic community of London .

The Church of St. Boniface at 47 Adler Street was built between 1959 and 1960. The foundation stone was laid on November 7, 1959 by Cardinal William Godfrey . He also consecrated it on October 2, 1960 together with the Cologne auxiliary bishop Wilhelm Cleven . The church was designed by Donald Plaskett Marshall & Partners. The interior was mainly designed by artists from Kevelaer . The organ was built in 1965 and comes from the organ building workshop Orgelbau Romanus Seifert & Sohn . The 40 meter high church tower with the four preserved bells from the previous building from the Victorian era is characteristic of the district .
Previous construction
The current Bonifatiuskirche replaced the church originally built by John Young (1797–1877) in 1875 , which was destroyed by The Blitz , the German bombing of London.
