The church

The Protestant village church of St. Cyriakus is located in the Ettischleben district of the city of Arnstadt in the Ilm district in Thuringia . It belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church Community Association Elxleben-Witzleben in the parish of Arnstadt-Ilmenau of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The Romanesque village chapel from the 12th century was rebuilt in 1508 to its present appearance. The wooden galleries and the choir window are designed in the late Gothic style .

In 2001 the church tower was covered with slate .
