The St. Elisabeth Hospital Volkmarsen is a hospital of primary care in Volkmarsen , Waldeck-Frankenberg . The carrier is the Marienkrankenhaus Kassel gGmbH , a subsidiary of the St. Vinzenz Krankenhaus gGmbH clinic group , whose sole shareholder is the House of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vinzenz von Paul (KdöR) is in Fulda .

history

In 1870 the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent von Paul in Fulda a house from an inheritance with the obligation to take care of the sick there; a “children's institution” was also set up there.

The then new building at Krambühl was started in 1901 and inaugurated in 1902.

In 1970 an extension was added to the rear, which was supplemented and modernized in the 1980s and early 2000s.

Facility

The house has 85 beds. It employs 120 people.

The departments include:

  • Surgery with a focus on vascular surgery,
  • Internal medicine with a focus on nephrology,
  • Gynecology and obstetrics
