history

The parish church in Hoedekenskerke, built in the first half of the 15th century, was consecrated to St. George until the Reformation . The tower and nave of the church were laid down in 1850 and the choir, closed on five sides, was prepared for Calvinist worship. In 1948 a thorough renovation took place after severe storm damage. The church is now part of the Protestantse Kerk in Nederland , which was created in 2004 . It is open to visitors in the summer months.
