Church of St. Martin in Leimbach

The Protestant village church of St. Martin is in the original Leimbach district of the city of Nordhausen in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

history

The first church in the village of Leimbach was built before the 14th century and was probably already in the year of the first mention of the place. That was in 1254.

This church was rebuilt in 1790. The tower was built eleven years later. The Himmelgarten settlement also belongs to the district of the city of Nordhausen. Himmelgarten is an offshoot of the former monastery and later estate .
