St. Martin the Confessor (Moscow)

The Church of St. Martin the Confessor ( Russian Храм святого Мартина Исповедника ) is a Russian Orthodox church in Moscow .

It lies on the uliza Alexandra Solschenizyna 15 in the district Tagansky and the sainted Pope Martin I consecrated.

The church was built in the years 1791-1806 according to the plans of the architect Rodion Rodionowitsch Kazakow . During the Soviet Union period , the church remained closed from 1931 to 1991.
