history

As far as can be proven, large and small Algermissen were always united in church. Accordingly, the St. Mauritius Chapel in Klein-Algermissen belonged to the parish of St. Matthew in Groß-Algermissen.

On November 1st, 2014 the parish of St. Cäcilia Harsum was established. In this context, the parish of St. Matthew in Algermissen was abolished and transferred to the newly established parish. St. Matthew and St. Mauritius have been affiliated churches of St. Cäcilia since then .
