The Allison Peninsula is a narrow, icy peninsula that extends into the Bellingshausen Sea on the Bryan coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It marks the eastern edge of the Venable Ice Shelf .
It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Commander Paul Allison, planning officer with the US Navy Support Associations in Antarctica from 1967 to 1968 .
