The Bryan Coast is a stretch of coast in the west of the Antarctic Ellsworthland . It lies between Pfrogner Point on the border with the Eights coast to the west and the northern tip of the Rydberg Peninsula in the east, where the English coast connects.
The eastern end of the coast was discovered during overflights during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) and during the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The United States Geological Survey mapped the entire coastline using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1967. It is named after Rear Admiral George S. Bryan (1885–1964), hydrograph of the US Navy from 1938 to 1946, who made important contributions to the Geography of Antarctica performed.
