The Rydberg Peninsula is a wide and 48 km long peninsula on the border between the Bryan and English coasts of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It separates the Carroll Inlet from the Fladerer Bay .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them based on their own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1961 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1968 after Sven Rydberg of the US Navy, commander of the USNS Eltanin on Antarctic voyages between February 1962 and June 1963.
