The Zumberge Coast is a stretch of coastline in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland west of the Filchner-Ronne Ice Shelf . It extends from Cape Zumberge to Hercules Inlet . The Orville coast connects to the north and the coast of Queen Elizabeth Land to the southeast .

The United States Geological Survey mapped this coast using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966 and Landsat photographs from 1973 to 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1986 after the American glaciologist James Herbert Zumberge (1923–1992), who led several field research campaigns on the Ross Ice Shelf between 1957 and 1964 and, among other functions, was President of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) from 1982 to 1986 .
