St. Meinolphus Mauritius

The Church of St. Meinolphus-Mauritius is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Church, Diocese of Essen , on Hattinger Strasse in the Ehrenfeld district of Bochum. The patron saints are St. Meinolphus and St. Mauritius .

The church was built from 1908 to 1909 and then from 1925 to 1926. The architect for the first construction phase until 1909 was Hermann Wielers from Bochum. There was considerable damage to the nave during the Second World War . The tower remained intact and still houses the four-part steel bell from 1929, tuned to g sharp ° -h ° -c sharp'-dis'.
