St. Olaf College is a four-year undergraduate private college of liberal arts in Northfield , Minnesota , USA , which the Lutheran Evangelical Church in America (ELCA) is affiliated. It was founded in 1874 by a group of Norwegian- American immigrants and is named after the Norwegian national saint, Olav II. Haraldsson . The college has approximately 3,000 students.
