The St. Pantaleon Cathedral ( Ukrainian Пантелеймонівський собор / Pantelejmoniwskyj sobor ) is a cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate ( Eparchy Kiev) and the main church of the St. Pantaleon Monastery in the Ukrainian capital Kiev .
history
Built between July 16, 1905 and July 1, 1914 by the architect Yevhen Fedorovych Yermakov, the cathedral is considered a highlight of Neo-Byzantine architecture and is an architectural monument of local importance. In 1920 the church was closed and looted by the Bolsheviks . St. Pantaleon suffered great damage during World War II and was used for secular purposes after the end of the war. On May 7, 1990, the cathedral was returned to the church and extensive restoration work began. In 1998 the cathedral was rededicated to Saint Pantaleon .

The church is located at Akadademika Lebedeva Street ( вулиця Акададеміка Лебедева ) 19 in the Feofanija district of the Kiev township of Holosiyiv in southwest Kiev.
