history

The organ

On September 1, 1968, curate Fr. Josef Hurler MFSC began to build up the community, at that time as a parish curate . The first services took place in a wooden emergency church. In 1973 and 1974 the building applications for a parish and community center were rejected by the local building commission . For this reason, a temporary wooden parish hall was inaugurated in 1976.

The foundation stone for the church was not laid until November 18, 1984, after the construction of the parish and social center began on July 21, 1983, and was inaugurated in 1985 (design by the architects Adolf and Helga Schnierle ). The church itself was consecrated to Saint Rita of Cascia on October 11, 1987 and made an independent parish. Archbishop Friedrich Cardinal Wetter carried out the consecration .

Since then, the Bogenhausen Catholic youth center, the specialist center for youth work in the Bogenhausen dean's office, has also been located in the parish.

The kindergarten was inaugurated in 1988.

In 2008 the parish celebrated its 40th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the kindergarten. Pastor Hurler (already retired) invited to a church tour on October 11, 2008 under the title “Our Church St. Rita what does she want to tell us”. On October 5th, 2008 the new pastor Alois Ebersberger - responsible for the three parishes St. Johann von Capistran , St. Klara and St. Rita - was introduced. On October 1, 2019, Pastor Czeslaw Lukasz took over the management of the three parishes that make up the Bogenhausen-Süd parish association.

A four-part Salve Regina bronze bell from the Perner bell foundry is hung in the high church tower . According to the weights of 850, 400, 250 and 180 kilograms, the strikes are to be designated as gb 1 , b 1 , des 2 and es 2 .
