Thomas Wilkinson, Bishop of Fulham , the Swiss President Ludwig Forrer and Sir George Bonham, the British Ambassador, were present .

In 1960 a parish hall and a house for the pastor were completed. From 1992 to 1994 the community hall was expanded and the other buildings renovated.
