St. Vitus (Neunaigen)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Expositurkirche St. Vitus and Leonhard is the Catholic village church of Neunaigen , a district of the Upper Palatinate community of Wernberg-Köblitz . The building is a Gothic choir tower, which was given a new nave by the city mason Johannes Rickl from Nabburg between 1788 and 1790.

Furnishing

Paintings in the stucco frame of the nave by Johann Franz Lidtmann from Nabburg show the life and apotheosis of the church saint St. Veit. Sayings are located above the pilasters of the columns.

The altar furnishings are rococo , but still with baroque pictures, probably from the furnishings of the previous church.

The pulpit was created by Christoph Luybl from Nabburg.
