The Georgian State University of Subtropical Agriculture ( ru : Грузинский государственный университет субтропического хозяйства ; s : Georgian State University of Subtropical Agriculture (GSSAU) ) is a 1952 university founded in Kutaisi , the capital of the region of Imereti .
In 1952 the university was founded as an institute for agro-culture in Kutaisi. In 1959, the university as was Georgian Subtropical Agricultural Institute (GSAI) to Sukhumi laid. After the Georgian-Abkhazian War in 1992/93, the university was relocated to Kutaisi. In 2002 it was officially recognized as the Georgian State University of Subtropical Agriculture (GSSAU) .
