The State Medical Academy Semei ( Семей мемлекеттік медициналық академиясы ) in the Kazakh Semei in the East Kazakhstan region is one of three universities in the city of Semei. The main faculty of the academy is in Semei. There is also a branch in the city of Pavlodar .
The Medical Academy was founded as an institute on September 6, 1953 by decision of the Ministry of Health of the Soviet Union . In 1997 the then institute was elevated to an academy . Today it consists of eight faculties, one of which is in Pavlodar.
