The Valais State Archives ( Archives de l'Etat du Valais ) in Sion collects, indexes and stores the archival cultural assets of the canton of Valais and ensures their preservation. It is the repository of all state archives worth preserving and makes them available to the public. Its holdings go back to 1150.

In addition to the Vallesia yearbook , the house also publishes the series of supplements to Vallesia , which was founded in 1990 by the Valais State Archives. It is reserved for the publication of dissertations, monographs, text editions and works that would go beyond the scope of the Vallesia yearbook. By 2015, 29 volumes had been published.
