State builder
A state farmer or "Kronsbauer" was a farmer who worked land that was owned by a king. They were not allowed to own serfs and were bound by the community to which they belonged and the land they were assigned to.
The land of the community was regularly redistributed by the "Kronsbauern", the division being based on the number of male family members.
