The State Medal for special merits in the field of food, agriculture and forestry as well as rural development (also: State Medal of the Bavarian State Ministry for Agriculture and Forests ) is an award of the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests , which is bronze , Silver and gold is awarded. The medal has been awarded annually since 1951 under different names according to internal guidelines to deserving personalities in the areas of nutrition, agriculture and forestry as well as rural development.

The stage Grand State Medal in Gold, to whose recipients z. B. Hippolyt Freiherr Poschinger von Frauenau (1973) counted, is no longer published.
