Staccato (cherry)

The cherry variety 13S2009 , which is sold under the brand name Staccato , is a so-called club variety and is currently only grown on a small area in Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. It is currently the most late-ripening cherry variety in commercial cultivation . It ripens from the 9th to the 10th cherry week .

origin

The variety was bred from the Sweetheart variety in 1982 at the Canadian Research Station Agriculture and AgriFood Canada, Pacific AgriFood Research Center Summerland British Columbia .

fruit

The stone fruit is large to very large, burst-resistant and round. This makes it easy to machine. When fully ripe, the skin is bright carmine-red and very firm.
