The Gurzelen stadium is located in the Swiss city ​​of Biel in the Champagne district. The football stadium was the home of FC Biel-Bienne . Until September 2009, the Biel fencing club was located under the grandstand of the stadium.

history

The stadium was completed in 1913 and has a capacity of 15,000. There is a covered grandstand on each of the long sides of the football field. The places at the front of the football field are not covered. Natural grass has always been played on.

Since mid-2015, FC Biel-Bienne has no longer played in the Gurzelen stadium , but in the Tissot Arena in Biel, which was completed in 2015 . The stadium has been used as a temporary open space since 2016 . The Terrain Gurzelen association has been operating the temporary use since 2016
