The Rankhof stadium is a sports stadium in the Hirzbrunnen district in Basel . It was rebuilt from 1993 to 1995. The grandstand opens to the south to the playing field. The north side is completely glazed as a windbreak. The panes are framed by black steel profiles and divided by vertical strips. The capacity is around 7,600 spectators. There are 1,000 seats and 6,600 standing places. The stadium record from earlier years (before the renovation) is around 30,000 spectators. The play area consists of natural grass and is 100 × 64 meters in size, with floodlights. The adjacent square is the same size and is also equipped with a floodlight system. The Rankhof area still has 4 training fields, an artificial turf field 90 × 45 meters with floodlights, a triple sports hall and 6 tennis courts.

Rankhof is the home stadium of FC Nordstern Basel . Until the end of the 2008/09 season, the Rankhof was also the home of FC Concordia Basel for many years . The second team of FC Basel will now use the stadium.
