The March 28th Stadium ( Arabic ملعب 28 مارس) is a stadium in Benghazi , Libya .
The Libyan soccer first division club Al-Ahly Benghazi plays its home games in this stadium. The stadium holds 55,000 spectators, making it the second largest in Libya after the June 11th Stadium in Tripoli .
The stadium was named after March 28, 1952, when Libya joined the Arab League , which was founded in 1945 .
The stadium was the venue for seven games of the 1982 African Cup of Nations , including a semi-final.
