The Stadionul Emil Alexandrescu is a multifunctional stadium in Iași , Romania . It is mostly used for soccer games and is the home stadium of CSMS Iași . The stadium is named after the former Politehnica Iaşi player and Mayor of Iaşi, Emil Alexandrescu , who died in 1992. During the renovation in 2016, the seating was replaced and the capacity was reduced from 12,500 to 11,390 seats.
